Katie Holmes cooked to decompress on Touched With Fire set
Katie Holmes turned to her love of cooking while filming new movie Touched With Fire to help her "decompress" from portraying a woman with bipolar disorder.
The Batman Begins actress and her co-star Luke Kirby portray manic depressives on the run from a hospital in the emotional drama, and Katie admits making a home-cooked meal each night after filming was her way to relax.
"It was very intense and I actually cooked a lot on the movie
because I needed to decompress," she explained on celebrity chef
Mario Batali's cooking show The Chew. "I even baked a little. I
made a blueberry pie, a lot of pastas and things..."
Katie reveals she shares the hobby with her daughter Suri, with
ex-husband Tom Cruise, and the nine-year-old has taken well to
whipping up fresh Italian food with mum.
"We just did a little class together and she loves making
ravioli...," the proud mum said. "We were at Eataly (Batali's
Italian food market in New York City) and we learned how to make
meatballs, which was amazing..."
