Katharine McPhee and Ed Westwick rule Style Awards

Katharine Mcphee and Ed Westwick scooped the leading honours at the 2012 Style Awards in New York on Wednesday (05Sep12) as they were hailed as the best-dressed stars in Hollywood.

The Smash actress was named the One to Watch (Female) while Gossip Girl's Westwick took home the male version of the trophy at the ceremony, held in Manhattan's Lincoln Center in conjunction with New York Fashion Week.

Katie Holmes also attended the gala to present an award to Carolina Herrera, who was named Designer of the Year, while actress Amy Adams gave the Celebrity Stylist of the Year statue to Cristina Ehrlich.

TV star Nicole Richie was on hand to recognise her personal hairstylist Andy Lecompte, and movie set-dresser Sandy Powell, who won an Oscar for her work on Shakespeare in Love, picked up Film Costume Designer of the Year.
