Kate Hudson taking secret dance lessons

Actress Kate Hudson has been brushing up on her fancy footwork by taking secret lessons with professional dancer Derek Hough.

The Almost Famous beauty showed off her skills during her recent stint as a dance teacher on hit TV musical Glee, but she has been using her free time this summer (13) to perfect her moves with Dancing With the Stars regular Hough.

The choreographer tells E! News, "I've been working with Kate Hudson a little bit lately for fun - just dancing for fun, giving her some lessons. She's become a good friend and she's great."

However, Hough insists the 34 year old has no intention of ever testing out her skills on the popular ballroom dancing competition.

He says, "I would love for her to do the show, but she would never. She's fantastic. But I want her to maybe do a guest spot."
