Karrueche Tran opens up about love war with Rihanna and fans

Model Karrueche Tran has poured out her heart over her tug of love with Rihanna over Chris Brown in a revealing new TV interview.

In a taped chat with actress-turned-chat show host Keke Palmer, which will air on Wednesday (16Jul14), Tran, 26, admits dating a celebrity is not all fun - especially when you're following in the footsteps of one of the world's most popular women.

She explains, "In this case, my boyfriend is a celebrity, whose ex-girlfriend is an even bigger (one)... Not only am I fighting a battle with her, I'm fighting a battle with her 14 million fans. So imagine how that feels for me.

"They (fans) make up all kinds of crazy stuff and they know nothing about me... Because I stay so mute sometimes, that leaves open space for them to say whatever they want."

Brown dumped Tran in 2012 so he could embark on a reconciliation with Rihanna, but he returned to Tran in 2013 when the romance broke down.

And Tran admits the break-up was tough on her - she fought back tears during the Just Keke taping when Palmer asked her about the worst part of not being in Brown's life.

She said, "The heartbreak, because it was a real situation."

Reports suggest Brown and Tran split again recently after the R&B star posted a racy photo of the model on Instagram, showing off her backside in a thong.

She wrote, "The difference between you and I is that my love is unwavering. You have shattered my heart, but you have not shattered my love."
