Kanye West staging four-night Paris residency filmed by Steve McQueen

Rapper Kanye West has recruited Oscar-winning 12 Years A Slave director Steve Mcqueen to film his newly-announced four-night residency in Paris, France.

The Stronger hitmaker revealed on Friday (06Mar15) that he plans to hit the stage at the Louis Vuitton Foundation for four consecutive nights from Saturday (07Mar15).

The gigs have been billed as "A film by Steve McQueen", while it will also feature "photography by Jackie Nickerson", but no further details about the film project were available as WENN went to press.

West is currently in the French capital with his wife, Kim Kardashian, for Paris Fashion Week.

The news of the mini-residency emerges days after he staged a surprise concert in London on Tuesday (03Mar15).
