Kanye West's awards show performance censored for second time
Kanye West fans have taken to social media to complain about his performance at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (17May15) after the broadcast was muted to remove offensive language, just months after a similar incident in the U.K.
The rapper closed the Las Vegas music show with a medley of his tracks All Day and Black Skinhead, but entire portions of the set were silenced during the televised broadcast due to the explicit language.
To make matters worse, viewers also had trouble seeing West due to
the pyrotechnics onstage and the subsequent smoke. The broadcast
caused a backlash on social media, with fans wondering why he
performed if the audience at home could not see or hear most of the
set.
According to reports, more than a minute was censored from the
five-minute show and the audience at the event began booing.
A similar incident occurred during his performance of All Day at
the U.K.'s BRIT Awards in February (15).
