Kanye West responds to South Carolina shooting with racism rap
Kanye West has responded to the deadly South Carolina shooting by performing a passionate rap about racism in America during a gig on Saturday night (20Jun15).
Nine people were killed in Charleston on Wednesday (17Jun15) when a gunman opened fire at a weekly Bible study session at the historical Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.
Days later, West took to the stage at a local radio concert in
Atlanta, Georgia and during the show, he knelt down and performed a
rap in response to the horrific killings.
He rapped, "See that's the magic of racism, it works on itself/ We
hate each other, s**ew each other, kill each other/ When we can't
kill nobody else/ See that's the magic of lack of resources, it
works on itself/ 500 n**gas getting pop-pop... popped (shot), and
North (South) Carolina didn't help.
"See that's the magic of racism, it works on itself/ N**gas hate
n**gas..."
