Kanye West heavily censored at BRIT Awards
Rapper Kanye West forced producers at the BRIT Awards to cut parts of his performance from the live TV broadcast after cursing repeatedly on stage.
The hip-hop star debuted expletive-laden song All Day during the show at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday (25Feb15), prompting producers to heavily censor the performance and fill large parts of his set with silence to avoid offending TV viewers.
Music fans watching the show online around the world didn't suffer
the same inconvenience - and they got to check out Kanye's fiery
set unedited.
West, who was introduced to the stage by his wife Kim Kardashian,
was a last-minute addition to the bill this week (beg23Feb15) after
reportedly stepping into replace his FourFiveSeconds collaborator
Rihanna, who reportedly pulled out of rehearsals on Monday
(23Feb15) and axed her set at the BRIT Awards.
Audience members like Taylor Swift and Lionel Richie were caught on
camera looking astonished as Kanye performed - he took the stage
with a small army of look-alike fans, all dressed in black, and two
huge flamethrowers which lit up the O2 Arena.
