Kaley Cuoco finalises divorce

Actress Kaley Cuoco has finalised her divorce with Ryan Sweeting.

The Big Bang Theory star split from her tennis pro husband in September last year (15) after less than two years of marriage, and on Monday (09May16), People magazine confirmed the couple had officially ended their union.

According to court papers seen by the publication's editors, the 30-year-old finalised the details of their divorce on Friday (06May16).

TMZ adds the actress has protected her fortune thanks to a pre-nuptial agreement, with Ryan, 28, reportedly walking away with just $165,000.

Kaley will also pay for his two personal trainers at a cost of $195,000 but she will get their home in Tarzana and beach house in Santa Barbara.

The former couple had originally tied the knot on New Year's Eve in 2013 in a fire and ice themed ceremony after a whirlwind three month romance, but their divorce plans were confirmed after months of speculation on 25 September (15).

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her popular chat show back in February (16), Kaley admitted she had been through a multitude of emotions as she dealt with the fall-out from her marriage breakdown.

"Yes, I'm getting divorced. You know, last year was very bizarre and we all go through really weird ups and downs," she said. "And sometimes I'm a little bit more seen. And everyone goes through that stuff. I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015. And, you know, it's been rough, but things are going good. I'm much, much better now. I'm in a much better place than I was."

Her positive outlook could be down to her new beau, professional equestrian Karl Cook. Kaley has been sharing a number of PDA filled pictures of herself and Karl on her Instagram page in recent weeks.

Last month (Apr16) she posted a snap of her nuzzling Karl's cheek with her arm draped on his shoulder and a cute smile on her face, captioning the shot: "That's what happy looks like."
