Justin Timberlake wants to star in a musical

Justin Timberlake has long dreamed of starring in a musical, but is still looking for the perfect role.

The SexyBack singer has left music behind in recent years to concentrate on acting, but he would consider combining his talents onscreen if the right project came along.

Timberlake reveals he is looking for a more modern take on the classic musical, telling TV host David Letterman, "That's been discussed... I would love to do a musical one day. I think there might be a way to redefine what that is for this era... My problem with musicals today, and I think a lot of people in my generation probably feel this way too, is that we're sitting here having a conversation and all of the sudden we're singing. Time stops."
