Justin Timberlake not starring in Annie
Justin Timberlake will not star alongside young Quvenzhane Wallis in the upcoming remake of movie musical Annie, according to a Sony Pictures representative.
The singer/actor was rumored to be in consideration to portray Daddy Warbucks, the role made famous by Albert Finney in the 1982 classic, after working with the film's producer Jay-Z on his new song Suit & Tie.
However, a spokesperson for the studio behind Annie has denied the
claims, which would have pitted Justin Timberlake opposite the
Beasts of the Southern Wild Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis, who
has replaced Will Smith's daughter Willow as the lead in the
film.
The rep tells GossipCop.com the reports are "not true" and insists
Justin Timberlake is not involved at all with director Will Gluck's
film, which is slated for release next year (14).
