Justin Bieber to beam in AMAs performance from Switzerland

Justin Bieber will perform at the American Music Awards on Sunday (20Nov16) - from Switzerland.

The singer will beam a live track from his Purpose world tour from a show in Zurich to the Los Angeles prizegiving.

Bieber is the latest star to join a long list of performers, which includes Niall Horan, Maroon 5, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Green Day, John Legend, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Sting, and Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

The pop star is up for Video of the Year, Favorite Male Artist - Pop/Rock, Favorite Album - Pop/Rock, and Favorite Song - Pop/Rock honors at this year's show, as well as the coveted Artist of the Year prize, a category that also features his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, and Ariana Grande.

Drake leads all nominees with a record 13 nods, while Rihanna has seven and Adele and Justin Bieber each have five.
