Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Lawrence lead Kids' Choice nominations
Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Lawrence are among the nominees set for a potential sliming at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
The pop star is to compete in the Favorite Song of the Year category at the annual prizegiving, which is known for slime stunts which cover artists and presenters in green gunge.
Justin lands the nod for his chart hit What Do You Mean? and he
will face off with Taylor for Bad Blood, Adele (Hello), Drake
(Hotline Bling), The Weeknd's (Can't Feel My Face), and Ed Sheeran
(Thinking Out Loud).
Other nominees include Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, who is in
competition for the Favorite Movie Actress trophy for her role in
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2. She faces rising star Daisy
Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Scarlett Johansson
(Avengers: Age of Ultron), Lily James (Cinderella), and Pitch
Perfect 2 co-stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick.
The Favorite Movie Actor category will be the battle of the
superheros as three members of the Avengers: Age of Ultron cast
have nominations - Iron Man Robert Downey, Jr. will take on Thor
Chris Hemsworth and Captain America Chris Evans.
The trio faces John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Chris
Pratt (Jurassic World), and Will Ferrell (Daddy's Home) for the
trophy.
Favorite Talent Competition will fought out by America's Got
Talent, The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, Dance Moms, and American
Idol, and the Favorite New Artist category features Alessia Cara,
DNCE, OMI, Shawn Mendes, Silento, and Walk the Moon.
The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Los Angeles on 12
March (16) which will be hosted by country singer Blake
Shelton.
