Justin Bieber set to perform on Friday following concert collapse
Justin Bieber fans have been assured by bosses at London's O2 Arena that the singer is set to perform as planned on Friday night (08Mar13) following his collapse and hospitalisation on Thursday evening (07Mar13).
The Baby hitmaker fainted backstage during his show at the venue and was given oxygen during a 20-minute break before taking to the stage again to finish the gig.
He was admitted to hospital for tests after the concert and took to
his Instagram blog in the early hours of Friday morning to share a
snap of himself lying in his hospital bed.
Bieber insisted he was bouncing back after his health scare by
declaring, "Gettin (sic) better listening to Janice Joplin (sic),"
but fans feared he would be forced to cancel his final gig at the
O2 Arena on Friday.
However, venue bosses have now assured devotees that Bieber will
complete his four-night residency as planned amid reports he has
left the medical facility.
A post on the venue's official Twitter.com page reads, "As things
stand Justin Bieber is still set to perform the final night of his
shows at The O2 this evening."
O2 Arena spokesperson Jeremy King tells the Associated Press, "He
was treated by our team of medics and after further examination
they didn't find anything more serious or worrying."
The health drama rounds off a trying week for the singer - his
London birthday party last Friday (01Mar13) was marred by a dispute
with security staff at a nightclub, and he faced the anger of fans
and their parents after taking to the stage at the O2 Arena late on
Monday night (04Mar13).
