Justin Bieber's representative dismisses miming allegations
A representative for Justin Bieber has denied reports suggesting he mimed during his headlining performance at Britain's V Festival on Saturday (20Aug16).
The pop superstar confessed to the crowd at the Chelmsford, England event that he was performing with a hangover after partying with fellow V Festival headliner Rihanna at London nightclub TAPE until 5am on Saturday morning, and some disgruntled fans were clearly unhappy with the 22-year-old's set, taking to Twitter to accuse Justin of lip-syncing.
"Gutted! I love love love Justin Bieber but tonight at V he was
miming. Not cool," one fan tweeted, with another writing, "Nah
@justinbieber is miming at V Fest. I ain't paid (sic) £80 for a
ticket to his tour to listen to his CD and see him run around the
stage".
However, a representative for the Sorry singer has since responded
to the allegations, insisting to NME.com Justin's performance
included "no miming".
The gig featured Justin performing stripped down versions of his
songs on acoustic guitar, a segment which prompted some fans to
defend the musician against the miming accusations, claiming he
definitely performed those sections live.
Justin's performance was not the only set at the music event's
Chelmsford site to draw complaints from some audience members, as
festival goers were also left waiting in the rain for Rihanna after
she arrived on stage late for her headlining slot on Sunday
(21Aug16).
Meanwhile, poor weather also caused technical problems for Sia,
delaying her performance on Saturday by 15 minutes.
After performing in Chelmsford, Justin flew via helicopter to the
festival's sister site in Staffordshire, England, where he
performed another set on Sunday.
