Justin Bieber performs surprise drum set with local band in Indiana

Justin Bieber shocked fans at an Indiana bar on Friday (04Sep15) by stepping up onstage and performing with a local band.

The Baby hitmaker was one of the first patrons to arrive at The Venue in Angola and asked the members of cover band Bonafide if he could play drums with them.

Group member Heidi Herber says, "He just looked like a normal kid in the bar... We had no idea (he was going to be there)."

After attendees recognized Bieber, police were called to provide extra security, but the night ended without incident.

Herber continues, "It was a social media frenzy (when people realized who he was). The phones started to come out. Social media is extremely powerful."

The surprise appearance came a day after Bieber showed up unannounced at Travis Scott's album listening party in New York on Thursday (03Sep15) to perform the rapper's new song Maria, I'm Drunk.
