Justin Bieber makes history after landing his first U.S. chart-topper
Justin Bieber's comeback is complete after becoming the youngest male artist in U.S. history to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
What Do You Mean? has rocketed to number one - a spot higher than Bieber's biggest hit to date, Boyfriend, which reached number two in 2012.
The grateful 21 year old, who teared up at the end of an emotional
performance of the song at the MTV Video Music Awards last month
(30Aug15), posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday (08Sep15)
thanking fans for his first Hot 100 number one.
He declared, "Looks like we did it! Finally... You guys are the
best."
Meanwhile, another MTV VMAs performer, The Weeknd, is also having a
good week after scoring the number two and three spots on the new
chart.
Can't Feel My Face drops from one to two, while The Hills rises a
spot to three on the Hot 100.
Silento's Watch Me falls to four and OMI's former six-week number
one Cheerleader rounds out the new top five.
