Justin Bieber in the clear over latest paparazzo run-in
Justin Bieber has been cleared of any wrongdoing after Los Angeles police were called to investigate reports the pop superstar accidentally hit a photographer with his car.
The Baby hitmaker was leaving the Laugh Factory comedy club on Sunset Boulevard on Monday night (17Jun13) when his Ferrari clipped a paparazzo, allegedly pinning him against another car.
The photographer reportedly suffered a minor leg injury and was
admitted to hospital for treatment, but the singer and his pal Lil
Twist had left the scene by the time cops arrived.
Bieber later told officers he had no idea he had run into a
snapper, even though video footage of the incident depicts him
driving off with the guy's camera equipment on the bonnet of his
car, and authorities have since determined that no crime was
committed as the photographer was at fault for being a pedestrian
in the roadway, reports TMZ.com.
The 19 year old took to Twitter.com on Tuesday (18Jun13) to address
the incident, writing, "sometimes u (sic) just wanna go to a comedy
club and have a laugh. no trouble. just want to laugh."
He then posted details about his upcoming tour dates and added, "im
(sic) all about the music".
Monday's incident was Bieber's latest issue involving the paparazzi
- his security team was accused of assaulting photographers on two
separate occasions in Miami, Florida earlier this month (Jun13),
while a fan filed a complaint with police for misdemeanour battery
after his bodyguards reportedly attacked him for trying to snap a
picture of the singer in Los Angeles.
