Justin Bieber backs new teen singer

Justin Bieber has made an aspiring teen singer an online sensation by calling her the next big music star and tipping her for big things.

The Baby hitmaker took to his Twitter.com page on Tuesday (17Jul12) to share three music videos by 13-year-old Madison Beer to his 25 million followers.

He tweeted, "Wow. 13 years old! She can sing. Great job. Future Star... This is just how I started. I love it... Reminds me of my old videos."

Justin Bieber also sent a clip of Beer singing a Bruno Mars mash-up to the Grenade hitmaker, writing, "Bruno Mars, you've got to see (this) one. She is great. Star."

After Justin Bieber's shout-outs, Beer immediately became a 'trending' hot topic on Twitter and racked up thousands of followers on the microblogging site overnight.

Waking up to more than 30,000 new fans on Wednesday (18Jul12), Madison Beer thanked Justin Bieber for his support, writing, "Thank you so much for tweeting me! Just woke up... My head is spinning. I can't believe this is happening and I really want you all to know that I am so grateful."
