John Legend and Chrissy Teigen turn stylists for Olympian Aly Raisman
John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen played stylists on Sunday (28Aug16) as they helped Olympic gold medallist Aly Raisman get ready for the MTV Video Music Awards.
The gymnast and her Final Five teammates were invited to serve as presenters at the New York ceremony, and Raisman had some very special assistants on hand to help glam up her look for the MTV event.
The athlete shared two side-by-side photos of the pre-show
get-together on Instagram, showing John and Chrissy's baby daughter
Luna sitting on her lap as she was attended to, while the R&B
star helped Aly's brother Brett with his formal dress.
"Getting ready before the VMA's (sic)!!" she captioned the double
shot. "@johnlegend teaching my bro @brettraisman to put on a tie!
Baby Luna helping me decide how to do my hair and makeup.
@chrissyteigen".
The gymnast later changed into her Hayley Page nude floral dress
for the awards show, wowing on the white carpet as she posed with
her Team U.S.A. pals Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison
Kocian. Fellow Final Five member Gabby Douglas had to skip the big
celebration after allergy issues left her briefly hospitalised.
Aly struck up an unexpected friendship with Legend and Teigen, who
did not attend the VMAs, on Twitter last week (ends26Aug16), after
Chrissy begged the star gymnast to join their inner circle.
"@Aly_Raisman I don't want to seem forward but I feel like we would
be friends please? We love you!" the 30-year-old beauty wrote.
Raisman, 22, promptly replied, declaring: "OMG (oh my God) YES. I
love u and ur husband (sic). Can we please be best friends & can I
send ur (sic) daughter some of my leotards?"
The Olympian even offered to help little Luna develop her
gymnastics skills after Chrissy confessed her girl was unlikely to
have inherited any sporting talent from her famous parents.
"I will help her out," Aly promised. "You can teach me how to model
and I'll teach your daughter some gymnastics."
