Jessie J scores U.K.'s most popular debut album of 2011
British pop star Jessie J is ending the year on a high after her Who You Are was named the U.K.'s biggest selling debut album of 2011.
The Price Tag hitmaker sold 105,000 units of the album on the first day of its U.K. release in February (11) and it's continued to sell well among British shoppers, beating pop newcomer Ed Sheeran's + and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds to the title.
Gallagher's estranged brother, Liam, and his new band Beady Eye
scored the sixth most popular debut album with Different Gear,
Still Speeding.
Others to feature in the top 10, compiled by representatives at the
Official Charts Company, include British rockers The Vaccines' What
Did You Expect From The Vaccines, Katy B's On A Mission, Nicole
Scherzinger's Killer Love and Kanye West and Jay-Z's collaborative
Watch The Throne.
