Jessie J cancels gigs following mystery surgery

British pop star Jessie J has pulled out of a series of European gigs over the weekend (26-28Jun15) as she recovers from an operation to treat a mystery condition.

The Price Tag hitmaker, real name Jessica Cornish, has told fans she underwent surgery on Monday (22Jun15), but she has refused to detail the nature of her health crisis.

Jessie J has now returned to photosharing website Instagram.com to explain that she is struggling to recover from the operation so she is axing gigs in her native England, Belgium and Denmark on her doctor's orders.

She writes, "After having an operation earlier this week, I am unfortunately suffering a longer recovery time than expected due to some problems that have occured post the operation (sic). I have been medically advised to cancel the shows this weekend. I am simply in no way to perform. I am really sorry to all my fans in Denmark, Bristol (in England) and Belgium and I look forward to seeing you all in the future. I am truly disappointed."
