Jessica Simpson unveils baby Maxwell

Jessica Simpson has shown off her newborn baby daughter Maxwell to the world in a touching photoshoot.

The smiling new mum graces the cover of this week's (ends01Jun12) People magazine, beaming with joy and cradling her sleeping baby.

And she's told how her life with fiance Eric Johnson has turned on its head since the birth earlier this month (May12).

She says, "(Our) life has completely changed. From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!... We stare at her all the time. We can't get enough!"

Simpson also reveals Maxwell was delivered via Caesarean section, and the new mum prefers to breastfeed her baby, adding, "It's the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her. I miss holding her and having that closeness."
