Jennifer Lopez opens up about painful divorce

Superstar Jennifer Lopez has opened up about her painful divorce from ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The couple announced its separation in 2011 after seven years together, and Anthony filed for divorce in 2012, with the union officially dissolved last June (14).

In a new documentary, Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again, which goes behind the scenes of the singer/actress' world tour in 2012, the singer talks about how she struggled to come to terms with the ordeal the split caused her.

In the show, which premiered on Wednesday (31Dec14), Lopez said, "I remember being on the set and being in my dressing room and not feeling like I could get up in the morning and there's just no pain like that. There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce... That hope, that dream, that fairytale, with that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die... You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work."
