Jennifer Lopez dismisses hurtful maid sacking story
Jennifer Lopez has spoken out to dismiss allegations she played a part in the dismissal of a hotel maid who was reportedly fired for asking for an autograph, calling the story "hurtful".
Cleaner Pray Dodaj claims she was sacked after she knocked on the star's room door to get a signature during Lopez's stay at the Melia Dusseldorf hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany last week (ends04Nov12).
She told German newspaper Bild, "I am an incredibly big fan so I
took all my courage and rang the bell to get an autograph. But I
was rejected by two assistants at the door. A day later the
cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that
Ms Lopez had complained. I was fired right there on the phone.
Because of an autograph."
However Lopez, who played a hotel maid in 2002 movie Maid In
Manhattan, is adamant she did not ask for the woman to be fired and
has blasted the story in a post on Twitter.com.
She writes, "C'mon (sic) thought you knew me better than this.
Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this
was on Twitter. Hurtful."
