Jennifer Lopez and Missy Elliott working on secret duet - report

Superstar Jennifer Lopez and rapper Missy Elliott are reportedly working on a secret collaboration.

The musicians first sparked duet rumours last week (ends29May15) after eagle-eyed fans noticed Lopez and Elliott had started to 'follow' one another on Twitter.com.

One devotee wrote, "I see @JLo and @MissyElliott are following each other. OMG (oh my God) does that mean something amazing (is) brewing?", prompting the Work It hitmaker to respond, posting, "Could be wow fans don't miss a beat yall (you all) see erthang (everything)".

On Monday (01Jun15), Lopez sent fans into a spin by appearing to allude to a studio session after sharing a photo of her cuddling up to Elliott, simply captioning it, "Sooo DOPE!!!"

Replying to the sweet tweet, Elliott writes: "Thank u @JLo I had a blast with u today u had me cracking up thanks 4 the encouraging words!"

The rap icon has been working on a new studio album with longtime collaborator Timbaland and superproducer Pharrell Williams since joining Super Bowl headliner Katy Perry onstage at the sporting extravaganza in February (15).

Elliott's last full album, The Cookbook, was released in July, 2005.
