Jennifer Lawrence laughs off Oscars fall

Jennifer Lawrence repeated her embarrassing fall at the 2013 Oscars by taking a tumble on the red carpet at Sunday night's (02Mar14) Academy Awards.

The Hunger Games star, who was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category, fell over on the red carpet as she arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the glitzy prizegiving.

Footage of the incident shows Lawrence waving to the crowds before tripping and falling on her knees. A police officer was standing close by and he dived in to help the actress to her feet. Lawrence then laughed and bowed to the watching crowd.

Speaking after the incident, which was caught on video, Lawrence was able to laugh off the blunder, revealing she tripped on a traffic cone.

She tells the Associated Press, "Yeah, they put a cone right outside my car. I fell on the cone and I have a goose egg (a bump) and it really hurts... It's okay. I've got 'em all over myself..."

Lawrence fell over at last year 's (13) Oscars as she made her way to the podium to pick up her Best Actress trophy.
