Jennifer Lawrence gave Oscar away to her parents
Jennifer Lawrence's Oscar has been banished to her parents' home as the golden statuette made her feel "awkward" in front of house guests.
The Hunger Games star landed the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook earlier this year (13), but struggled to find a suitable spot for Hollywood's highest honour in her home.
She eventually placed it out of sight in a hallway near her
bathroom, prompting her mother Karen to confiscate the trophy and
take it back to the family home in Kentucky.
Lawrence tells Access Hollywood, "My parents took it back to
Kentucky, 'cos I felt odd having it, like, on display in my
house.
"If anybody's coming over to my house, I didn't want them to
remember that. Just kind of puts a weird energy out.
"I put it in the hallway towards the bathroom, and my mum was like,
'I'm taking it. It shouldn't be here'. And now it's on a piano in
Kentucky!"
