Jennifer Garner lands new role with Save The Children
Actress Jennifer Garner has landed a senior position with a leading children's charity.
The Daredevil star has been an ambassador for Save The Children for several years and now she has joined the organisation's board of trustees.
The mother-of-three, who will hold the position for a six-year
term, hopes her new role will allow her to put pressure on
lawmakers and help children around the world.
She says, "In my new role with Save the Children, I hope to make an
even bigger difference in the lives of children right here in
America and around the world. All children, whether they are born
into poverty or affluence, have the right to grow up healthy, learn
and make something of their lives... Our leaders in Washington and
in the states must commit every resource to put all children on an
equal path to success. Working with Save the Children, I hope to
help young mothers give the same educational boost to their
children that I try to give my own kids."
