Jennifer Carpenter and Seth Avett secretly wed

Jennifer Carpenter and Seth Avett have tied the knot.

The happy couple said their "I Dos" over Memorial Day weekend (28-29May16), confirmed their representatives to America’s Us Weekly magazine.

Dexter actress Jennifer started dating rocker Seth, of band The Avett Brothers, not long after his split from his first wife Susan in 2013. Jennifer was married to her former Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall for three years.

The couple, who is also parents to 13-month-old son Isaac, announced their engagement in February 2015.

A source close to the pair told the publication that the nuptials, held in North Carolina, were “small and private” adding, “they're incredibly happy to be married."

Despite keeping details of the wedding out of the press, Seth hinted at the happy news during a concert on 3 June. An onlooker noted, “Seth flashed his ring to the crowd!"

Seth’s ring can also been seen in recent photos uploaded to The Avett Brothers’ Instagram page.

A friend explained to the magazine why the pair make such a good match.

“They have a similar sense of humor," the pal smiled. “(Jennifer) loves music and has always been a big supporter of the band."
