Jenna Dewan Tatum: 'I don't know if I'll have another child'
Jenna Dewan Tatum is unsure if she and husband Channing Tatum will ever expand their family, because their daughter has made it clear she wants to be an only child.
The Step Up co-stars are parents to four-year-old Everly, but Jenna admits her conception was a surprise, and although the actors have considered trying for another baby, they would rather leave it up to chance.
Asked if she wants to become a mother again, she told chat show The Talk, "I don't know yet. With Everly it was a surprise. It just happened, it was meant to be. I feel a second child will feel that way although I did ask her recently.
"I said, 'Everly, would you like a brother or sister?' and she was like, 'No.' She had already figured it out. She was like, 'Oh, I have to share toys, your attention, your love... Nope, I'm good.' I was like, 'Well, I don't know.' So we'll see. We're still like, 'If it's meant to be, it'll be'."
"I was an only child, I didn't have to share anything, but I always wanted a (sibling)," she added. "So there's arguments for both sides. So we'll see if it's in the cards."
If Jenna does decide to have a second child, she will have to learn how to balance her busy career with her life as a new mom and wife - something she previously admitted was really tough to get used to.
"There are lots of days that l am really tired, especially after becoming a new mom," she told news show Entertainment Tonight last year (16). "There's nothing more exhausting because physically, mentally, emotionally it requires you to be on all the time."
