Jean Paul Gaultier pays tribute to Amy Winehouse with beehived models
Legendary fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier paid tribute to late British singer Amy Winehouse by copying her iconic look for his latest catwalk show.
The flamboyant French designer has long been inspired by pop stars in his couture work - he created the famous cone bra for Madonna and interviewed Lady Gaga last year (11) to find out about her outrageous style.
He gave a nod to the Back To Black hitmaker during his show at
Paris Fashion Week in France on Wednesday (25Jan12) by sending his
models down the runway sporting the star's iconic beehive hairstyle
and heavy eyeliner.
Several models, who wore Gaultier's latest creations, also smoked
cigarettes in tribute to the late British icon.
Amy Winehouse died at her home in London last July (11) aged
27.
