Jared Followill proposes to model girlfriend

Jared Followill is engaged to wed his model girlfriend Martha Patterson.

The Kings Of Leon bassist, who only began romancing Martha Patterson at the beginning of 2012, proposed to the beauty at his Tennessee home and presented her with a self-designed four-carat cushion-cut diamond ring on 11 April (12).

The Sex On Fire hitmaker confirmed the happy news via Twitter on Wednesday (02May12), posting, "It's true! I'm engaged! CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity."

Jared Followill teased fans about a special announcement hours before, writing, "Big news coming tomorrow! (It's not a sextape.......yet)", and as fans started guessing he added, "Everybody asking if I'm pregnant: I'm not the type who will wait the mandatory 8-12 weeks to tell you. As soon I see a + (on a pregnancy kit), I'm tweeting it."

Jared Followill previously dated Twilight star Ashley Greene, while Martha Patterson was most recently linked to Ashley Greene's ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas.
