Janelle Monae speaks out on grope arrest drama

Janelle Monae's night took a dramatic turn on Monday (15Feb16) after a man was arrested for allegedly groping her friend.

The Tightrope singer and a group of associates were at a Grammy Awards afterparty hosted by rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs at Los Angeles nightclub 1OAK when Janelle alleges a man made an unwanted sexual advance towards her pal.

"A guy touched one of my friend's vaginas that's what happened," she tells editors at TMZ.com. "Don't ever touch a woman's vagina or you're going to be arrested. That's what happened."

Editors at TMZ, who have published video footage of a man outside the venue being escorted into a police car while the R&B star looks on, report a suspect was arrested for misdemeanour sexual battery.
