Jamie Dornan: 'My wife supports Fifty Shades of Grey'
Jamie Dornan has dismissed rumors suggesting his wife urged him not to sign up for the sequels to erotic thriller Fifty Shades Of Gray, insisting she has been nothing but supportive of his role in the steamy film franchise.
Reports the actor would not be reprising his role of kinky businessman Christian Gray in the two follow-ups, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, surfaced last month (Feb15), with some bloggers suggesting his partner, Amelia Warner, was uncomfortable with her man's erotic sex scenes.
Dornan's representative dismissed the story at the time and now the
actor has spoken out, insisting Warner is completely
supportive.
He tell Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "The idea was that we honor
the trilogy and do all three (films)...
"(The story is) total b**locks... Of course she (Warner) would have
read the scripts well in advance, and she's massively supportive of
Fifty Shades."
The Northern Irish star also addressed rumors suggesting he did not
get along with his co-star Dakota Johnson on set, adding, "They
wouldn't have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry
problem... whatever chemistry means. You have to jump through a lot
of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn't have
cast us."
Dornan predicts Fifty Shades Darker will begin filming next year
(16), although representatives at Universal Pictures - the studio
behind the movies - insist the sequels are yet to be confirmed.
