James Van Der Beek signs up for 'no hate' campaign

Written by . Published: April 24 2012

James Van Der Beek has been photographed with duct tape over his mouth in the latest photoshoot for the No Hate (NoH8) campaign.

The former Dawson's Creek star has joined the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan and Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz by posing for the viral photo project in support of gay rights.

The actor was clearly delighted by the pictures, writing in a post on his Twitter.com page, "I like freedom. I don't like bullies. And I love a good airbrushing."

Van Der Beek has been vocal about his support for gay marriage in the past, tweeting last month (Mar12): "If you say you love this country for its freedoms, but want to deny gays the same freedoms you enjoy, you sound like a hypocrite... And - just to clarify 'freedom' is having the right to live as you choose. It's not the right to choose how everyone else lives."
