James Franco to publish poetry book
Actor James Franco is adding to his growing resume by creating his own book of poetry.
The 127 Hours star, who has dabbled in everything from teaching to moviemaking, has penned a collection of lyrical verses called Directing Herbert White.
The piece will be about his work on adapting Frank Bidart's poem
Herbert White into a short film, and Franco tells the New York
Times, "(It will be) about my relationship to that poem, Frank's
relationship to the poem as I have learned about it from knowing
Frank and the adaptation process."
The multi-talented hunk, who has previously played authors Allen
Ginsberg and Hart Crane on the big screen, certainly has the
credentials for the project - he holds a master of fine arts in
poetry from North Carolina's Warren Wilson College.
The book is due to be released by Graywolf Press in April,
2014.
