James Corden threatened Little Mix star with police over prank call

Written by . Published: November 15 2016

James Corden once threatened to call the police when Little Mix star Jesy Nelson prank called him..

The British pop star revealed during an interview on Australian radio station 2Day FM that she was inspired by 2006 British comedy show Fonejacker, which features a series of prank calls by different characters, to put on an African accent to call the talk show host. Corden had no idea who she was and actually threatened her with the police.

"This is a secret and he doesn't actually know but we prank called James Corden once and he threatened to call the police," she said. "He's a bit of a wimp isn't he? I wasn't being aggressive, I was just doing an accent down the phone.

"I was doing that (accent) down the phone and he was like, 'I'm gonna call the police if you keep ringing'. Bloody hell James, calm it down!"

Jesy, who was interviewed with bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, also revealed James was not the only victim of a Little Mix prank call - one time when Jade Thirlwall was drunk, she thought it would be a good idea to ring up Taylor Swift, who invited them to appear during her 1989 world tour.

"Jade got drunk one night with her mates, (thought) 'oh let's prank call Taylor Swift'... I don't know what she did but she (Taylor) didn't answer. Thank God! We wouldn't be in her squad any more," Jesy joked.

According to Leigh-Anne, Taylor "never answers" her phone.

The girl band are currently on a press tour of Australia for their new album Glory Days. During a separate interview with Fitzy & Wippa on Australia's Nova 96.9 radio station Jade and Perrie Edwards shut down questioning about Jesy's rumored split from fiance Jake Roche. She sparked speculation of a break-up when she unfollowed him on social media last week (ends13Nov16).
