Jake Gyllenhaal has pulled out of the big screen adaptation of stage musical Into The Woods due to scheduling conflicts.
The Brokeback Mountain actor was due to star alongside Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt in Rob Marshall's highly-anticipated movie, but he backed out after his independent movie Nightcrawler got the greenlight from studio executives.
Jake Gyllenhaal is to produce and star in the thriller, which
focuses on a small-time criminal in Los Angeles, and marks the
directorial debut of The Bourne Legacy co-writer Dan Gilroy.
Nightcrawler is slated to begin shooting in October (13), the same
time Jake Gyllenhaal was due to start work on Into The Woods.
