Jack Osbourne's wife suffers a miscarriage

Jack Osbourne's wife has suffered a miscarriage.

The reality TV star and his partner Lisa announced last month (Aug13) they were expecting their second child together, but they have now revealed they lost their baby last week (ends01Sep13).

Lisa shared the sad news with fans in a post on her Twitter.com page on Friday morning (06Sep13), insisting they needed time to come to terms with their loss before sharing the news with the world.

She writes, "I have been dreading this announcement... I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time. It's important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life's toughest moments. We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives."

The couple married in 2012 and is parents to a 17-month-old girl named Pearl.
