Ireland Baldwin: 'I wish I hadn't quit school'

Model Ireland Baldwin regrets quitting school to focus on modeling full time.

The gorgeous daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger signed a contract with IMG Models in March, 2013, when she was just 17, and in hindsight, she wishes she had continued her education.

"(I wish) I would have been more patient and took the time to finish school (sic)," the 21-year-old tells Marie Claire Mexico. "I wouldn’t have rushed into modeling like I did. I would have studied acting much harder than I did.”

The cover girl reveals she would most likely be working with animals if she hadn't landed in the fashion industry.

“All I ever dreamed of being as a young girl was a marine biologist or a veterinarian," she says of her childhood goals.

Ireland was thrust into the spotlight at an early age thanks to her celebrity parents, but the blonde beauty insists she is still confused by fame.

“I knew since I was a young girl that my parents were famous but I still don’t entirely understand fame," she admits. "I don’t understand how people perceive fame. In my opinion, fame is an achievement. I don’t even consider myself famous because I haven’t reached all of my goals.”

Ireland is swiftly making a name for herself outside of her parents' shadow thanks to her blossoming modeling career. Last year (16) the star posed for her first-ever nude shoot for treats! magazine and she continues to land other high-profile photo shoot gigs through her current agency DT Model Management.
