Idina Menzel & Jamie Foxx to headline Carousel of Hope Ball

Jamie Foxx and newly-engaged Idina Menzel will headline this year's (16) Carousel of Hope Ball.

The two stars will take the stage at philanthropist Barbara Davis' biennial event, dedicated to increasing awareness about diabetes, next month (08Oct16), when they'll join presenters Denzel Washington, Anjelica Huston, and Quincy Jones.

The Beverly Hills ball will also include a live auction hosted by actress Sharon Stone.

This year's honorees include Sir Sidney Poitier, who will be presented with the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award, and Brass Ring Award recipients Jane Fonda, songwriter and composer David Foster and movie executive Sherry Lansing.

Foster will also serve as the party's music director.

Since its launch in 1978, the Carousel of Hope Ball has raised more than $100 million (GBP77 million), with proceeds benefiting the Children's Diabetes Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes.
