Ice Cube donates to old high school

Hip-hop icon Ice Cube returned to his alma mater in Los Angeles this week (ends07Oct11) and surprised school staff by handing over a cheque for $5,000.
The rapper paid an unannounced visit to Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California to donate the cash to benefit music education as part of a programme supported by charity officials from the Grammy Foundation, reports AllHipHop.com.
Ice Cube began honing his rap skills at the age of 16, while learning how to play the keyboard in class at Taft High School in the 1980s.
