Ian Somerhalder makes sure girlfriend knows just how he feels about her

Actor Ian Somerhalder isn't hiding his feelings for new girlfriend Nikki Reed - the former Lost star gushed about the Twilight actress in an Instagram.com post on Wednesday (08Oct14).

The 35 year old posted a photo off himself and Reed with their dogs to celebrate the one-year anniversary of one of the pooch's litter of puppies - and he couldn't help but heap praise on his lady for all the work she does with the ASPCA, calling it "truly extraordinary".

He wrote, "Thank you for giving so much of your life and for being a strong voice for those whom can (can't) speak. My hat is off to you. You amaze me. Love, Ian."

Somerhalder and Reed have been dating since the summer (14) after the actress filed for divorce to end her marriage to singer/songwriter Paul McDonald.
