Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed land production deal

Married actors Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are mixing business with pleasure after landing a development deal for their new production company.

Somerhalder wed Twilight actress Reed last year (15), and they promptly set up Rare Birds Productions to work on new projects together.

Now the couple's business has been given a big boost by scoring a production overall deal with bosses at Warner Bros. Television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Somerhalder is no stranger to the studio as it's the same firm behind his hit series The Vampire Diaries, which wraps for good after the current eighth season.

He also starred in Warner Bros. Television's Young Americans series, and previously appeared on another of their dramas, Smallville.
