Hugh Jackman parodies Les Miserables as Wolverine
Hugh Jackman combined two of his most iconic roles when he performed a showstopping track from Les Miserables in character as Wolverine.
The Australian actor played the lead role of Jean Valjean in the 2012 big screen adaptation of the beloved musical, and thanks to BBC Radio 1's The Matt Edmondson Show, he was able to reprise his part as the French protagonist and the Marvel superhero at the same time.
The British DJ rewrote the lyrics to Who Am I? from the epic movie,
dubbing the track as part of 'Wolverine The Musical'.
A video posted on YouTube.com shows Jackman going along with the
skit, singing the rewritten lyrics which include, "Who am I?/Am I a
superhero with some claws?/Or just an actor searching for
applause?/Wolverine has all the fans, but what about Hugh
Jackman?
"I play the wolf man, yes it's quite the task/In X Men: Days of
Future Past/ I'm at the gym doing weights each day/Hugh has got to
look buff they say."
However, the performance wasn't pitch perfect - Jackman began to
laugh as he tried to reach the high notes at the end of the
song.
