Home Richie Sambora bought mom wrecked by Sandy
The New Jersey home Bon Jovi star Richie Sambora purchased for his mother has been ruled uninhabitable in the wake of superstorm Sandy.
The rocker has invited his mom to stay with him in Los Angeles until her waterfront property is fixed and restored.
He says, "The house ain't so good (sic). I bought the house on the
river going back about 25 years and it probably surged about 12, 15
feet and we had a houseful of water.
"She evacuated inland to stay with some friends... and she's coming
to live with me for a while until we fix the house... All I could
say to her was, 'You get to redecorate, mom!' You gotta look on the
bright side."
Richie Sambora admits the images of the wreckage left by Sandy are
tough to look at, but he knows his native New Jersey will thrive
again after the storm.
He tells Access Hollywood, "New Jersey people are very tough."
