Hilary Duff warns off paparazzi snapping photos of her son
Singer/actress Hilary Duff came close to testing news legislation introduced to keep photographers away from celebrities' kids on Monday (17Mar14) after paparazzi swarmed a park and started taking pictures of her young son without her consent.
The So Yesterday singer took to Twitter.com to recount her showdown with photographers in Los Angeles, revealing she was appalled by the way her two-year-old son, Luca, suddenly became a paparazzi target.
She wrote, "At the park today I had the opportunity to have two
paps arrested for taking pictures of my son. Without my consent
this IS AGAINST THE LAW!
"I chose to let them off with a stern warning, next time I will not
be so nice. ALL kids deserve to have their childhood!!"
Duff is one of many celebrity parents who have joined Kristen Bell
and Dax Shepard's bid to boycott tabloids and websites that buy in
unapproved pictures of stars and their kids.
Last year (13), Jennifer Garner and Halle Berry fought for new laws
that would keep snappers well away from the kids of stars. The
legislation was passed and introduced in January (14).
