Hilary Duff struggling to balance motherhood and career
Singer/actress Hilary Duff is struggling to get back to work after becoming a mom because she cannot bear to be apart from her 11-month-old son Luca.
The little lad was born last March (12) and Duff, 25, admits one recent guest spot on a TV show was enough to show her that balancing parenting with her career is a tough business.
The So Yesterday hitmaker tells Life & Style magazine, "It's hard
to be away (from Luca). I did a guest spot on Raising Hope (and) I
was so happy to be on a set again... but it was hard. I also had a
day of (thinking): 'I need to get home. What am I doing away from
my baby?'
"It's such an adjustment. It's a huge change and it took a few
months for me to be like, 'OK, this is me now, this is who I am
now, this is how I do things now.'"
Duff admits the drama of tearing herself away from her baby has put
her off having another one for some time: "I'm not trying to have
(another) baby any time soon."
