Hilary Duff pays tribute to Bette Davis with new tattoo
Hilary Duff has paid tribute to Bette Davis with a new tattoo.
The Younger actress is no stranger to body art and already has numerous inkings, including a pair of roses on the back of her right arm, a small bird, a heart, a wishbone and the phrase "thick as thieves".
For her latest design, Hilary has had the words "Take Fountain" tattooed on her left arm in an elegant script.
Celebrity tattoo artist Brian Woo, who is also known as Doctor Woo, shared a photo of the finished piece on Instagram on Thursday (07Dec17) and wrote in the caption, "Just a super tiny reminder on @hilaryduff, one of the best tips when you are driving in LA via #bettedavis."
The phrase refers to a time in which All About Eve actress Bette appeared on a talk show with host Johnny Carson, and was asked what advice she has for performers trying to make it in Hollywood, and she replied, "Take Fountain!"
In Los Angeles, Fountain Avenue is a street in between and parallel to the famed Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevards, which can offer a quicker route to the main highways in the congested city.
It appears Hilary's ink is pretty fresh, as she posted a short video of her being tattooed by Brian last Sunday along with the words, "Always a good hang @_dr_woo_."
The tattooist, who recently opened his own studio, has previously created special inkings for the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Ellie Goulding, Dakota Johnson, Miley Cyrus and Kid Cudi.
Hilary's latest trip to the tattoo parlor comes shortly after she confirmed she is once again dating music producer Matthew Koma. The pair briefly dated last year before going their separate ways and reuniting in September.
